Kate’s lively imagery is inspired by natural themes and familiar elements in our lives. She invites the viewer to pause and feel the energy created by contrasting colours and fractured lines. Lively and unique compositions are generated by evocative colours, shapes and forms.
Kate was born into a family of artists and began painting at a very young age. Inspired by artists such as Lawren Harris, Monet, Berthe Morisot, Gauguin, A.Y. Jackson, Van Gogh and Joe Plaskett, art has always been her passion in life. She has studied art at the Emily Carr School of Art and under the tutelage of many accomplished artists. She has been in a number of juried art shows in the Okanagan and the Lower Mainland of Vancouver.
Ultimately, Kate strives to evoke an emotional response from her audience.
